NEMCC Adult Education helping those with New Year's resolutions

BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (12/09/2021) — For those thinking about making a New Year's resolution to better their education or to get a better job, Northeast Mississippi Community College's award-winning Adult Education department has opened up January classes for those motivated to keep their New Year's resolutions.

Day classes are slated to start on Monday, January 3, 2022, while night classes will kick off less than 24 hours after day classes on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Daytime courses can enroll students every four (4) weeks while night classes begin a new rotation every eight (8) weeks due to the nature of night courses.

During their time at Northeast, students can take their General Education Diploma (GED) test or the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET) to earn a high school equivalency diploma and learn the necessary skills needed to get ahead in a fast-paced, ever-changing job market through the colleges' Smart Start curriculum.

As part of the Smart Start curriculum, students can earn national certifications and learn useful information about how to find a good, satisfying and well-paying career as well as acquire the skills that employers are looking for at no cost to the student.
