NEMCC Adult Education offers college study skills sessions for graduates
BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (08/26/2026) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Adult Education program will offer two free sessions to help its graduates prepare for college-level coursework.
College and Career Navigator Charlie Smart will present "What I Wish I Had Done in College" at the following locations:
- Wednesday, August 26 at 5 p.m. in the Holliday Hall Multipurpose Room on the Booneville campus
- Thursday, August 27 at 5 p.m. in the high school equivalency classroom at Northeast's New Albany campus
Each one-hour presentation is free and open to Northeast Adult Education graduates.
Smart will share mistakes he made during college and explain what he learned from those experiences. He will also discuss differences between Adult Education and college classes.
Participants will learn study methods designed to help them understand course material and retain information.
Smart will provide practical guidance on what students can expect when they enter a college classroom.
