NEMCC Child Care Center announces Fall 2026 Open House and Registration Event

Open House will be held on Wednesday, April 22 from 9-11 a.m.

BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (04/20/2026) — Families in the community are invited to attend the Northeast Mississippi Community College Child Care Center's Fall 2026 Open House and Registration on Wednesday, April 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. in Waller Hall on the Booneville campus.

Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to tour the Child Care Center, meet faculty and staff members and learn about the variety of enrichment activities offered to help preschool-aged children develop early readiness skills.

Prospective participants are encouraged to visit the first floor of Waller Hall to take part in the event and secure a chance for their child to enroll for the upcoming semester.

Those interested in registering their child should bring a completed Immunization Compliance Form 121 to assist with the registration process.

Enrollment is open to three- and four-year-old children of NEMCC students, faculty, and staff and the public.

Children enrolled must be potty-trained and able to feed themselves.

Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and a $15 registration fee is due upon acceptance.

Northeast's Child Care Center provides a learning-readiness environment where children can grow academically, socially and emotionally before entering public or private school.

It also serves as a hands-on training site for Northeast students studying child development, offering opportunities to observe, interact with and teach young learners under professional guidance.

Operating hours for the center are Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., aligning with the college's traditional day class schedule during the fall and spring semesters.

Current daily rates are $7 for NEMCC students and $13 for faculty and staff.
