NEMCC Counseling Center offers "The CONNECT: Finding Calm in the Chaos," to help students adjust to college/life changes

BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (09/02/2025) — Adjusting to college life can be overwhelming for both first-year students and those returning to school after time away.

To help students navigate these transitions, the Northeast Mississippi Community College Counseling Center is offering The CONNECT: Finding Calm in the Chaos, a supportive small group designed to help students manage life's changes with confidence.

The CONNECT will meet Wednesdays from September 3 through October 8 from 2--3 p.m. in Group Room 5 of the Eula Dees Memorial Library.

Organizers of The CONNECT recognize that "life is full of changes -- starting college, moving to a new place, or navigating relationships. This group provides a safe and supportive environment where students can share their experiences, connect with others, and gain valuable tools to thrive during transitions."

The CONNECT is open to all students who are experiencing or anticipating major life changes.
