NEMCC to Offer Maintenance Technician Class

BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (08/17/2025) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Career and Technical Education & Workforce is now enrolling students for its upcoming entry-level Maintenance Technician class.

Northeast's 336-hour course will provide hands-on training in key industrial skills, including AC/DC Electrical, Wiring, Power Distribution, Electrical Machines, Relay Controls, Motor Controls, Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs), Fluid Power, and Troubleshooting.

Entry-level maintenance technicians are vital members of industrial and manufacturing teams. Their work often includes installing and repairing machinery, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Classes will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
