NEMCC to remain closed for rest of week due to inclement weather

Plans are to reopen campuses on Monday, February 2

BOONEVILLE, Miss. - (01/27/2026) — Due to the inclement weather that affected the northeast Mississippi region, Northeast Mississippi Community College will remain closed for the rest of the week (Week of January 26-February 1, 2026).

Plans are to reopen campuses on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Dorm students may return to the Booneville campus.

Students who are returning are asked to check in with their dorm proctors upon arrival to campus and complete the dorm information form.

Northeast's Sodexo cafeteria is currently open for breakfast from 8-9 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and dinner 4-5 p.m.

At this time, Northeast's Burgess Fitness Center is open to students and community members.
