BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (09/03/2025) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Art Department has set its 2025-26 exhibition schedule with five shows planned at the Art Gallery in Anderson Hall on the Booneville campus.

Three Mississippi artists, the annual High School Art Competition and Northeast's Student Art Competition make up this year's lineup.

Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and admission is free.

Tupelo artist Chuck Truscott opens the season September 2-29 with "The Secret World of Xaogasti," a decades-long project documenting an ancient civilization that never existed.

Hattiesburg painter Andrea Kostyal follows October 20-November 29 with "Structures in Harmony" - dreamlike works inspired by urban landscapes and natural scenes that reflect her childhood and young adulthood.

Corinth native and Northeast alumnus Luke Price begins the spring series January 20-February 16, 2026, with "Fine Art Through Travel," an exhibition chronicling his artistic journeys around the world.

Young talent from Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo and Union counties will be featured March 2-23, 2026, in the High School Art Competition.

Student creativity takes center stage April 9-30, 2026, during the Northeast Student Art Competition.

An awards ceremony is set for April 9 at 5:30 p.m. in Anderson Hall Auditorium, followed by a special nighttime gallery opening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
