NEMCC, The Brushstroke to offer July art camps for kids
BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (07/01/2025) — Northeast Mississippi Community College and The Brushstroke located in downtown Booneville will host a series of July Art Camps for children.
Designed to encourage creativity and hands-on artistic exploration, the camps offer students a chance to learn, express themselves, and have fun in a supportive environment.
Campers will enjoy two days of engaging projects.
During camps earlier this summer campers were able to craft treasure maps and go on an art-themed scavenger hunt that ended in a colorful "Paint Blast" using paint-filled water guns.
Keeping with the water theme, other art adventures included ocean-inspired watercolor art using salt for texture effects, as well as crafting vibrant "stained glass" artwork using safe and creative materials.
Cost for the camp is $50 for both days and just $30 for one day of the creativity camp.
Snacks and all materials are included.
Space is limited and early registration is encouraged.
NEMCC and The Brushstroke will offer Art Camps on July 11-12 and July 25-26.
Both sessions will be held in Anderson Hall on the college's Booneville campus.
Kindergarten through third-grade students will meet from 9 to 11 a.m., while fourth through eighth graders will meet from 1 to 3 p.m.
