Northeast Mississippi Community College students have selected their 2025 Homecoming Court, with New Site's Anna Slack being elected as this year's Homecoming Queen following campus-wide elections in September. Slack and the entire Homecoming Court will be introduced during a pep rally in their honor on Thursday, October 16 at 12:10 p.m. on the lawn in front of the Ramsey Student Services Building and the fountain. The official presentation of the Homecoming Court will follow at halftime of the Northeast-Coahoma Community College football game.

Four hundred and fifty-one (451) Northeast Mississippi Community College students achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5-3.9 on a 4.0 scale for the 2025 Spring semester and, as a result, have been named to the college's distinguished Vice President's List. Included in the list are representatives from 86 different cities, towns and communities across the United States of America: 426 Vice President's List scholars are from Mississippi, 16 hail from Tennessee, six are from Alabama and one is from California, Louisiana and Texas, respectively. Three hundred and forty-three (343) scholars came from the college's five-county service area of Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo and Union counties, while 108 were from outside the service area. Overall, 789 individuals were either named to the President's List or the Vice President's List at Northeast for the 2025 Spring semester. Seven hundred and forty-seven (747) are from the Magnolia State, 25 live in Tennessee, and 11 are from Alabama, while California, Florida, Louisiana and Texas each had a representative on the honor rolls. Two scholars call Buenos Aires, Argentina and Johannesburg, South Africa home, respectively. Of the 789 students making either the President's or Vice President's lists at Northeast, 610 reside within the college's five-county service area of Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo and Union counties. Compared to Spring 2024, Northeast saw over 100 more in-district students make the President's or Vice President's list. In total, Northeast's sphere of influence touched 112 different cities, towns and communities across the United States of America, Argentina and South Africa, with scholars hailing from nine different states and/or countries.

Three hundred and thirty-eight (338) Northeast Mississippi Community College students achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 4.0 scale for the 2025 Spring semester and as a result, have been named to the college's distinguished President's List. Included in the list are representatives from 66 different cities, towns and communities across the United States of America - 321 President's List scholars are from Mississippi, nine hail from Tennessee, five call Alabama home and one scholar is from Florida. Two Presidential scholars call Buenos Aires, Argentina and Johannesburg, South Africa home, respectively. Two hundred and sixty-seven (267) scholars came from the college's five-county service area of Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo and Union counties while 71 were from outside the service area. Overall, 789 individuals were either named to the President's List or the Vice President's List at Northeast for the 2025 Spring semester. Northeast Mississippi Community College's Iota Zeta chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society welcomed approximately 240 students into the international honor society during its Spring 2025 induction on Monday, February 15 in the Claude Wright Room of the Haney Union on the college's Booneville campus. To be eligible for membership in the Northeast Iota Zeta chapter, a student must have completed at least 12 hours of coursework with a cumulative 3.25 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and be a full-time student at the college. Included in the 242 students welcomed into the organization during the Iota Zeta chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society's induction were representatives from four states and international country.

Five hundred and seventeen (517) Northeast Mississippi Community College students achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5-3.9 on a 4.0 scale for the 2024 Fall semester and as a result, have been named to the college's distinguished Vice-President's List. Included in the list are representatives from 89 different cities, towns and communities across the United States of America - 499 Vice-President's List scholars are from Mississippi, 12 are from Tennessee, five hail from Alabama and one is from Arkansas. Three hundred and eighty (380) scholars came from the college's five-county service area of Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo and Union counties while 137 were from outside the service area. Compared to the previous year, over 77 more students achieved Vice Presidential List status compared to Fall 2023. Joining the over 500 individuals on the Vice President's List at Northeast was Overall, 885 individuals were either named to the President's List or the Vice-President's List at Northeast for the 2024 Fall semester. Eight hundred and forty-seven (847) are from the Magnolia State, 23 live in Tennessee, 11 are from Alabama while Arkansas and Louisiana each had a representative on the honor rolls. Two scholars reside outside the boundaries of the United States and call Buenos Aires, Argentina and Johannesburg, South Africa home, respectively. Of the 885 students making either the President's or Vice President's lists at Northeast, 682 reside within the college's five-county service area of Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo and Union counties. In total, Northeast's sphere of influence touched 111 different cities, towns and communities across the United States of America with scholars hailing from five different states and two other countries other than the United States of America.

Northeast Mississippi Community College has announced its 2024 Homecoming Court. Booneville's Isabel Grace Williford will serve as this year's Homecoming Queen. Williford, alongside her fellow homecoming maids, will be officially introduced at a pep rally on Thursday, October 10, and presented to the crowd at halftime of the Northeast Tigers' homecoming football game against East Mississippi Community College.

Northeast Mississippi Community College's Practical Nursing Education staff announced that Brandy Isabell of Glen has been awarded the prestigious Jane Williams Excellence in Nursing Award. Isabell's honor was given during the Practical Nursing Education (PNE) Lamplighting and Pinning Ceremony held on Thursday, July 25, in the Claude Wright Room of the Haney Union. Northeast's Jane Williams Excellence in Nursing Award, now in its 10th year, honors the memory of Jane Williams, a dedicated educator who served Northeast Mississippi Community College for 39 years.

Northeast Mississippi Community College celebrated the accomplishments and achievements of its employees and students during the college's annual Honors Day Ceremony on Thursday, April 25. During the 2024 version of Northeast Honors Day, which is presented by the Iota Zeta chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, five students were selected from the Division of Mathematics and Sciences for individual honors from their division. Academic head for the Division of Mathematics and Sciences Andrea Mathis presented three academic excellence awards, a division all-star award and the division's most outstanding student during the awards night. Caitlyn Carnathan of Saltillo, Jackson Mayer of Myrtle and William Norwood of Guntown were all awarded for academic excellence in the Division of Mathematics and Sciences while Cheyenne Johnson of Tishomingo was selected as the division's all-star student. Belle Martindale of Walnut was named the Most Outstanding Student for the Division of Mathematics and Sciences for the 2023-2024 academic year. Northeast's Honors Day serves as a ceremony to recognize the school's top students in each of its six academic divisions - business & engineering, fine arts, health sciences, languages & humanities, mathematics & sciences and social, behavioral and applied sciences, along with Phi Theta Kappa chapter, officer and advisor awards, Honors Institute graduates and teacher of the year selections, recognition for the college's Scholar's Bowl team, honoring members of the Collegiate DECA, Collegiate FBLA and Collegiate FFA Alumni and Supporters chapters. Students are also recognized for their placement in the college's student art exhibition, the college's creative writing competition (Tyger Symmetry) and for those showing true athletic prowess on and off the field of competition through the announcement of the Tiger Award winners for student-athletes. Northeast faculty members are also honored with the Tremendous Individual Performance (TIP) and Teaching Outstanding Performance (TOP) awards and the Humanities Teacher of the Year. Northeast's Alumni Association and Development Association also uses the Honors Day to celebrate the accomplishments of all students who have received a Foundation Scholarship throughout the academic year. For each one of the college's six academic divisions, faculty members from each respective division are tasked with awarding three Academic Excellence awards, a division all-star award and the Most Outstanding Student award for each division. Approximately 200 members of the Northeast student body were recognized for their academic achievements and awards during the 2024 version of the event. As the summer comes to an end and students across the region prepare to return to classrooms, a group of dedicated individuals from Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) have taken a different path. In late July, 31 practical nursing students, hailing from various towns in northeast Mississippi, celebrated their graduation and are headed into join the workforce, addressing a critical need in the healthcare industry.

Northeast Mississippi Community College's Scholar's Bowl team is making it an old habit of qualifying for the National Academic Quiz Tournaments Inc. (NAQT) Community College Championship Tournament. Northeast, which showcased its intellectual prowess at the NAQT Community College Sectional Championship Tournament held in Hanceville, Alabama earlier in the semester has qualified for the NAQT Community College Championship Tournament to be held on Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago hotel in Rosemont, Illinois.

Northeast Mississippi Community College's theatre department will present its spring play on February 7, February 8 and February 12 in the Hines Hall Auditorium on the college's Booneville campus. Under the direction of Christopher Schager of Oxford, NEMCC's theatre department will present The Man Who Couldn't Dance, by Jason Katims. Curtain rises on the spring play at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7 and at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 8 and Monday, February 12.

At Northeast Mississippi Community College, Tiger Ambassadors play a crucial role in various campus activities. Tiger Ambassador responsibilities encompass attending recruiting and college fairs, where they serve as representatives of Northeast and beyond this, Tiger Ambassadors engage with prospective students on a personal level by offering informative campus tours and sharing details about classes and procedures. Tiger Ambassadors contribute to fostering a connection between the college and prospective students and help to make the transition to college easier.

Northeast Mississippi Community College's Campus Country has announced that its second Showtime of the year will take place in the Hines Hall Auditorium on Thursday, November 2 at 7 p.m. Admission to the 18-song setlist is free for Northeast employees and students. Tickets are available to the public for just $5.

Two hundred and ninety-two (292) Northeast Mississippi Community College students achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 4.0 scale for the 2023 spring semester and as a result, have been named to the college's distinguished President's List. Included in the list are representatives from 65 different cities, towns and communities across the United States of America - 281 President's List scholars are from Mississippi, nine hail from Tennessee while two call Alabama home. Two hundred and forty-two (242) scholars came from the college's five-county service area of Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo and Union counties while 50 were from outside the service area. Overall, 694 individuals were either named to the President's List or the Vice President's List at Northeast for the 2023 Spring semester.

Northeast Mississippi Community College went to the max when celebrating its end of the academic year honors. Northeast welcomed seven new members into the college's Hall of Fame on Monday, April 17 during Northeast's annual Honors Day.

Northeast Mississippi Community College recently held its annual Who's Who Class Favorite elections for the 2022-2023 academic year. Sophomores Hayden Donahue of Rienzi and Madison Grace Bennett of Myrtle were selected as Mr. and Miss Northeast Mississippi Community College, respectively, for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Northeast Mississippi Community College's Collegiate Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter came out on top at the Mississippi State FBLA Conference, with several students winning top honors in their respective categories.

Three Northeast Mississippi Community College students were recognized as the recipients of the Dodge Store Scholarship during pre-game ceremonies prior to the Northeast Tigers' homecoming football game versus Mississippi Delta September 22 at Tiger Stadium.

A pair of Northeast Mississippi Community College students from Rienzi are the recipients of caring acts from a local medical professional organization.

Ten of Northeast Mississippi Community College's best writers placed in the college's annual creative writing competition earlier this semester. Student winners were chosen in categories ranging from poetry, literary essay, non-fiction, short fiction and drama production during the annual competition sponsored by the Tyger Symmetry Creative Writing class.

Northeast Mississippi Community College acknowledged the accomplishments and achievements of its employees and students during the college's annual Honors Day ceremony on Monday, April 18. During the 2022 Honors Day ceremony, which is sponsored by the college's Iota Zeta chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, the college recognized ten students as Tiger Award recipients for their dedication to their respective sports on and off the field of competition. Northeast Athletic Director Kent Farris presented Gray Berry, Zeke Cook, Austin Lauderdale, Calysia Phillips, Mikayla Rogers, Marlee Turner, Cedrick Wilder, Jr., Wesley Wiltshire and Albanie Windham with the 2022 Tiger Awards.
