NEMCC Adult Education announces, "What I Wish I'd Done in College," workshop dates
BOONEVILLE, Miss. (08/27/2024) — Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) Adult Education has announced that Charlie Smart, Adult Education College and Career Navigator, will present two workshops during the Fall 2024 semester entitled "What I Wish I'd Done in College."
Smart's lectures aim to provide guidance for students and adults alike as they embark on their educational journeys.
Smart's first lecture will be held on Tuesday, September 3, on the college's Booneville campus; a second presentation will take place on Thursday, September 5, at the High School Equivalency (HSE) classroom on the Northeast at New Albany campus.
Both events are designed to help students kick off the semester with the right mindset and strategies for success, especially adult education graduates who are in or entering college.
Due to limited seating in the presentation rooms, priority seating will be given to adult education graduates.
During his presentation, Smart will explore the similarities and differences between adult education and college, offering practical advice that he wishes he had known during his own college experience.
Smart will focus on student strategies that are crucial for success in both academic settings, providing attendees with actionable insights that can enhance their educational outcomes.
These lectures are part of NEMCC's Adult Education's ongoing commitment to supporting both traditional and non-traditional students in achieving their academic and career goals.
