NEMCC announces Fall 2024 residential housing move-in schedule

Students will move into the college's five residential housing facilities on a staggered schedule

by Michael H. Miller

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (08/06/2024) — Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) has announced its residential housing move-in schedule for the Fall 2024 semester.

To ensure a smooth transition for students, NEMCC will implement a staggered move-in process beginning on August 15 and extending through August 18, the day before classes begin.

Organizers highlighted that the staggered move-in schedule is designed to expedite the move-in process and alleviate congestion that could occur if all dormitory students moved in simultaneously.

Northeast has five residential halls on its Booneville campus: Yarber and White halls for male students, Mississippi and Murphy halls for female students, and Wood Hall, which serves as a co-habitation facility with separate sections for males and females.

Students moving into Wood Hall should note that the facility will close in Spring 2025 for renovations. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly for the upcoming closure.

Northeast's housing office is located in the T. Jack Ramsey Student Services Building, Suite 112, and is open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon).

For more information about housing options at Northeast, contact the college's housing office at 662-720-7311.
