NEMCC announces weather closure, fee payment deadline extension

Fee payment deadline extended until Tuesday, January 14

BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (01/09/2025) — Due to the worsening weather conditions expected after midnight on Thursday, January 9, creating very dangerous traveling conditions, Northeast Mississippi Community College will close all offices at all campuses on Friday, January 10.

"We want to ensure the safety of our staff and students during these adverse weather conditions," said Northeast President Dr. Ricky G. Ford. "Additionally, we would like to inform all students that the fee payment deadline for the 2025 Spring Semester has been extended to Tuesday, January 14."

Online registration is available for anyone who needs to complete their registration for the 2025 Spring Semester.

Updates regarding the situation over the weekend and into next week will be provided, if necessary.
