NEMCC announces weather closure, virtual classes

Classes will transition to virtual learning due to inclement weather

BOONEVILLE, Miss - (02/19/2025) — Due to worsening weather conditions expected after midnight on Tuesday, February 18 and into Wednesday, February 19, creating very dangerous traveling conditions, Northeast Mississippi Community College will close all offices at all campuses on Wednesday, February 19.

All classes on Wednesday, February 19 will transition to virtual learning due to the inclement weather.

"We want to ensure the safety of our employees and students during these adverse weather conditions," said Northeast President Dr. Ricky G. Ford.

Students should check their Canvas accounts and communicate with their instructors for assignments and guidance.
