BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (04/21/2026) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's award-winning Future Farmers of America (FFA) Alumni and Supporters Chapter will host a Collegiate Farm Bureau Night, titled "Burgers & Bingo," on Tuesday, April 28, in the Claude Wright Room on the second floor of the Haney Union.

Northeast's two-hour event will run from 5-7 p.m. and is open to all with an interest in agriculture.

Participants are encouraged to register by Monday, April 20, to assist organizers in preparing a food count for the evening.

Attendees will enjoy a night of food and friendly competition, as prizes will be awarded during the bingo rounds.

Registration is available online at https://form.jotform.com/260974771463164.

Agriculture and forestry majors, along with students enrolled in agriculture-related courses, are strongly encouraged to participate.

Northeast's Collegiate Farm Bureau Night event serves as an opportunity for students to connect with peers, faculty, and professionals in the agricultural community while learning more about involvement in both Collegiate Farm Bureau and FFA programs.

Northeast's FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter to be one of the most active collegiate groups in the nation.

Northeast earned distinction as the 2025 Outstanding Collegiate Alumni and Supporters Chapter by the National FFA Organization, recognizing its commitment to leadership, community service, and agricultural education.

Advisors Dr. Amy Marolt-Alred and Sayde Turner Potts accepted the national honor at the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Through a variety of campus and community initiatives, the chapter promotes hands-on learning, leadership development, and professional networking among students.

Members assist with local FFA competitions, host livestock judging clinics in partnership with Prentiss County 4-H, and collaborate with organizations such as Mississippi Women for Agriculture for programming like the Career Success Day for young women.

One member of the Collegiate FFA served in a high-ranking office with the FFA and two other members have been named New Century Farmers and will attend training during the 2026 Summer.
