NEMCC Dental Hygiene offers affordable dental services to Northeast community, public
BOONEVILLE, Miss. (11/08/2024) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Dental Hygiene department is inviting new patients to take advantage of its professional and affordable dental services.
Located on the fourth floor of Childers Hall, just off Jefferson Street, the department is open to the public, offering dental hygiene appointments at the low cost of $15.
Northeast employees and students can also enjoy the benefit of free dental hygiene appointments.
Northeast's Dental Hygiene program offers a comprehensive range of services, including dental 'cleanings', X-rays, oral hygiene instruction, nutritional counseling, and oral cancer screenings.
By cutting the excessive cost often associated with dental care, Northeast aims to make oral health accessible to the community while simultaneously offering students valuable hands-on experience. The affordable cost structure helps remove financial barriers for patients, making dental hygiene services available to all.
Northeast's dental hygiene appointments not only benefit the public but also play a vital role in the educational journey of Northeast's Dental Hygiene students.
As students work toward their board certifications in the spring semester, they gain practical experience by treating patients from the local community.
Hands-on practice prepares students for successful careers while contributing to the health and well-being of residents throughout the area.

Patients can reach the Dental Hygiene department by taking the elevator in Childers Hall to the fourth floor and following the blue tile on the floor directly to the office.
