NEMCC Development Foundation and Alumni Association Welcomes New Board Members

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (07/18/2024) — Northeast Mississippi Community College Development Association and Alumni Association welcomed new members to its Board of Directors as other well-known community members finished their service to one of the premier community colleges in the country.

Northeast Mississippi Community College Board of Trustee member Lonnie Murphy was selected to represent Prentiss County on the Board of Directors while longtime Northeast employee Barbara Shackelford was elected to serve as the Alumni Association President for the upcoming term.

In addition to Murphy and Shackelford's appointments, the NEMCC Development Foundation and Alumni Association welcomed three industry leaders from the college's five county service area - Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo and Union to the board of directors.

Jason Coley joined the organization to represent Prentiss County, Brian McCutchen came on board as a representative from Alcorn County and Kyle Smith joined from Tippah County.
