NEMCC Help Desk launches Tech Tuesdays for Fall 2025
Each session is designed to give students practical, easy-to-use takeaways to improve their academic and personal use of technology
BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (08/26/2025) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Technology Help Desk is making technology more approachable and accessible for students this fall with the return of Tech Tuesdays.
Held on select Tuesdays throughout the Fall 2025 semester, Tech Tuesdays will take place from 12:10-12:30 p.m. at the Technology Help Desk on the first floor of Haney Union. The short, 20-minute sessions are designed to help students understand the technology they use daily while also introducing them to tools they may not know are available.
Students are encouraged to bring their lunch or a snack as the sessions take place during the college's traditional lunch break.
Northeast's Tech Tuesday series kicks off with "Get to Know Your MyNEMCC Dashboard" led by Northeast Instructional Technology Specialist Dr. Carlena Benjamin, who will walk students through the dashboard's features and demonstrate how to maximize its tools for academic success.
In addition to the opening session, three more Tech Tuesdays will spotlight specific technology topics:
September 16 - iPad Essentials: Get the Most Out of Your Device
September 30 - AI for the Win: Tutors and Test Prep
October 21 - Accessibility for Everyone
