NEMCC offers no-cost Aerospace Fabrication program with flexible class schedules
Classes are taught at the Northeast at Corinth campus
BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (07/06/2026) — Northeast Mississippi Community College is accepting registrations for its Aerospace Fabrication & Assembly Program, a no-cost workforce training opportunity designed to prepare participants for careers in the growing aerospace and advanced manufacturing industries.
Created in partnership with industry leaders like Northrop Grumman in Iuka and other advanced manufacturing employers throughout the region, the Aerospace Fabrication & Assembly Program provides hands-on instruction that equips participants with the technical skills employers are looking for.
Classes are offered at no cost to participants and are available in morning, afternoon and evening sessions, making the program accessible to working professionals seeking a new career or additional skills.
All classes are held Monday through Thursday at Northeast's Corinth Campus.
Participants begin with the required 48-hour Intro to Assembly & Fabrication course, which teaches foundational manufacturing skills used throughout the aerospace industry.
Students receive instruction in print reading, precision measuring, drilling and countersinking, fastening techniques, and the assembly of aerospace structures and systems.
After completing the introductory course, participants may complete the remaining program modules in any order based on their interests and career goals.
Available courses include:
- Quality Systems and Machining, a 48-hour course covering inspection methods, precision measurement, metrology tools, quality assurance documentation, workmanship standards, computer-aided manufacturing path development, CNC programming and operation of CNC milling equipment.
- Electrical Systems Integration, a 48-hour course focusing on reading schematics, wiring and harness fabrication, and electrical testing procedures.
- Hydraulics and Pneumatic System Integration, a 36-hour course emphasizing fluid power assembly, system integration and troubleshooting techniques.
