NEMCC opens Anderson Hall Art Gallery to The Brushstroke for late May exhibition
BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (05/28/2025) — Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) has opened the doors of its Anderson Hall Art Gallery to a new wave of creativity and community collaboration.
For the rest of May, the gallery will host a student art exhibition from The Brushstroke, marking the organization's first-ever showing in the space.
Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the exhibition is free and open to the public.
Northeast's hosting of The Brushstroke's exhibition features a diverse collection of student-created artwork, including ceramics, mixed media, paintings, and many other pieces that highlight the growing talents of children from the City of Hospitality and the surrounding community.
Located on East Church Street in Booneville, The Brushstroke has quickly become one of the area's go-to creative hubs for families looking to spark and support artistic expression in children and adults alike.
Popular events have included Kidz Night Out, where children dive into hands-on projects while parents enjoy an evening out, Spring Break Art Camps, seasonal painting parties, and Mother's Day painting classes that allow families to share in the creative process.
By opening the Anderson Hall Art Gallery to The Brushstroke, Northeast continues to strengthen its ties with the local community, providing a platform for young artists and creative minds to shine while inviting families to engage with the college.
