NEMCC opens no cost CDA camps for summers

Camps will run throughout June and July with meals and snacks provided

BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (04/20/2026) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Career Development Academy (CDA) will host five weeks of summer camps for students entering fourth through twelfth grades,

Camp sessions are scheduled for June 1-3, June 15-17, June 22-24, July 6-8 and July 13-15.

CDA Olympics will take place during the final session on July 13-15, offering participants an opportunity to showcase skills developed throughout the program.

Camps are designed to provide a structured and engaging environment focused on academic enrichment and personal development.

Each camp session will feature a variety of activities centered on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM), along with healthy living and lifestyle education, fitness classes and prevention programming.

Activities are designed to encourage creativity, critical thinking and overall wellness among participants.

All camps will be held in Haney Union on the Booneville campus from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Parents are encouraged to arrive promptly at the conclusion of each day to pick up their children.

Meals and snacks will be provided for all participants.

Participation in the CDA Summer Camps is free of charge.

Programming is made possible through a partnership with the Mississippi Department of Human Services.
