by Michael H. Miller

BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (09/03/2025) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's award-winning Iota Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society has opened its annual fall cheese sale to the public.

Orders for the bi-annual fundraiser will be accepted through 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, with delivery expected on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

This year's sale features two-pound blocks of Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese available in Mild, Sharp, or X-Sharp varieties for $15 per block, including sales tax.

All blocks are offered at the same cost, and proceeds support chapter operations and student-led projects.

Cheese pickup will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Black and Gold Room of the Haney Union on delivery day. PTK members will also deliver orders directly to customers following the pickup date.

Payments are due when placing an order.

Customers paying by check should make checks payable to the NEMCC Development Foundation.

Northeast's Iota Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa has earned multiple awards for excellence in leadership and service.

Proceeds from the cheese sale help fund scholarships, campus events, and community service projects throughout the year.
