NEMCC's Burgess Fitness Center releases Fall 2025 class schedule

Free classes for members; Variety of morning & evening options offered

BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (08/12/2025) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Burgess Fitness Center has announced its Fall 2025 class schedule, offering a dynamic lineup of group fitness classes and personal training opportunities for members and the community.

Burgess' fall semester schedule will run from August 11 through December 11, with 15 total classes designed to meet a variety of fitness goals and interests.

All classes are free for current Burgess Fitness Center members.

For those not yet members, the center offers some of the lowest gym membership rates in the northeast Mississippi region.

Notable early and late class times include Total Body Reset at 5 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and several evening sessions such as Yoga, Pilates, and Dance Cardio, all beginning after 5 p.m.

All classes are led by experienced instructors and trainers who are ready to help participants meet their personal health and wellness goals.

In addition to group classes, the schedule includes two dedicated time slots each week for personal training sessions with certified trainer Brianna Lowrey.

These 30-minute sessions are available by appointment and can be tailored for individuals or small groups.

Mondays

12:15 p.m. - Abs (Robert Walker)

3-5 p.m. - Personal Training Hours (Brianna Lowrey)

4:15 p.m. - Spin (Ginger Murphy)

5 p.m. - Yoga (Mary Hall) (Held at the NEMCC Community Health and Nutrition Center)

5:15 p.m. - Pilates (Brianna Lowrey)

6:30 p.m. - Dance Cardio (Bethany Nash)

Tuesdays

5 a.m. - Total Body Reset (Ginger Murphy)

4:15 p.m. - Spin (Ginger Murphy)

5:15 p.m. - Pilates (Libby Smith)

6:30 p.m. - Dance Cardio (Bethany Nash)

Wednesdays

4:15 p.m. - Spin (Ginger Murphy)

5:15 p.m. - Pilates (Libby Smith)

Thursdays

5 a.m. - Total Body Reset (Ginger Murphy)

12:15 p.m. - Pilates (Brianna Lowrey)

1-2 p.m. - Personal Training Hours (Brianna Lowrey)

5 p.m. - Yoga (Mary Hall)

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Abs

A 25-minute core-focused workout targeting abs, obliques, hip flexors, lower back, and glutes.

Dance Cardio

A high-energy, 40-minute dance workout that blends fun choreography with calorie-burning movement.

Personal Training (Open Hours)

Individual or group 30-minute sessions by appointment. Tailored plans based on personal fitness goals.

Pilates

A full-body workout to improve flexibility and core strength, focusing on abdominals, lower back, glutes, and hips.

Spin

An upbeat 45-minute stationary bike ride set to music. First come, first serve-arrive early to claim a spot.

Total Body Reset

A high-intensity interval training class using weights and cardio to build endurance and strength.

Yoga

A flowing, meditative class suitable for all levels. Postures are linked with breath for a rejuvenating experience.
