NEMCC's Sports Information Captures Five First-Place Awards in College Sports Communicators National Contest

BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (08/16/2025) — Four members of Northeast Mississippi Community College's Sports Information Office earned national recognition for their creative excellence by capturing five first-place honors during the 2024-2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Creative & Digital Design Contest.

Competing in the Two-Year Colleges Division, Northeast earned top honors in the long form videos/recaps/features, game notes, programs, posters, and special projects categories.

Awards were announced during the final day of #CSCUnite25, held at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Fla.

Sports Information Director Blake Long led the way with three first-place finishes.

Long earned first place in the programs category for his written work on the printed edition of the Northeast football game programs.

Sports Information Specialist Ryan Moreland received top honors in the game notes category for his men's basketball game notes.

In the special projects category, Long and Moreland shared first place for their collaborative work on the TigerTown Sports Podcast.

Long and Graphic Artist/Designer Raleigh Downs teamed up to take first place in the posters category for their combined men's and women's basketball schedule poster.

NEMCCTV producer Elijah Brooks won the long form videos/recaps/features category for his recap of Northeast's football game against Mississippi Delta.

College Sports Communicators, formerly known as the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), oversees the Creative & Digital Design Contest, which experienced record-breaking participation this year with more than 2,160 entries across 17 contests. The College Division received 1,230 entries from over 250 institutions.

Winners were formally announced during the Special Awards Luncheon and again later that day during live programming at #CSCUnite25.
