NEMCC Student Success Center hosts Spring 2025 Success Workshops

Workshops are designed to provide practical strategies and skills to enhance personal growth and overall success

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (02/05/2025) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's (NEMCC) Student Success Center is offering a series of Success Workshops throughout the Spring 2025 semester to support students in areas beyond academics.

Workshops are designed to provide practical strategies and skills to enhance personal growth and overall success.

Workshops are held every other Wednesday from 12:10 p.m. to 12:40 p.m. in the Co-Lab on the first floor of Wright Hall.

Each session addresses a specific topic aimed at equipping students with tools to navigate challenges commonly faced during their college journey.

Northeast's first workshop of the semester, "The Big Bounce Back: Using Resiliency to Achieve Academic and Personal Success," was held on Wednesday, January 22 and focused on strategies to build resilience and overcome setbacks.

Upcoming workshops include:

  • Money Matters: Budgeting and Saving as a College Student - Wednesday, February 5
  • The Self-Love Journey: Learning to Embrace the Beauty of Being You! - Wednesday, February 19
  • I Can Do It Later: Overcoming Procrastination - Wednesday, March 5
  • Seeing Red: Practical Ways to Effectively Manage Your Anger - Wednesday, March 19
  • The Career Chronicles: How to Prepare for a Job Interview - Wednesday, April 2
  • Finishing Strong: Completing End of School Year Tasks - Wednesday, April 16

Workshops cover a variety of topics, including financial management, self-care, procrastination, emotional regulation, career preparation, and strategies for wrapping up the semester successfully.

Students are encouraged to attend these 30-minute sessions to gain valuable insights and resources to improve both their college experience and their personal lives.
