NEMCC to offer Firearms Safety for Women class on Saturday, October 26
Participants do not need to own a handgun to take part in the course
BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (09/26/2024) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Office of Continuing Education is offering of a Firearms Safety for Women class on Saturday, October 26.
Northeast's Firearms Safety for Women course is designed to empower and educate women on the fundamental aspects of handgun use, ensuring that participants leave with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to handle firearms safely.
Founded with the goal of empowering women, the class focuses on the basics of handgun terminology, safety, and operation.
Northeast's Firearms Safety for Women class is structured to provide women with a supportive and informative environment where they can learn the essentials of firearm safety, even if they do not currently own a handgun.
For those who may not currently own a handgun, participants will be provided the opportunity to test fire different handguns during the course for a minimal fee of $10.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in operating a handgun, understanding safety protocols, and mastering shooting fundamentals.
Whether a participant is new to firearms or looking to refresh their skills, this class offers valuable insights for all levels of experience.
Northeast's Firearms Safety for Women class will be held from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., with a registration fee of $55.
Participants need to bring ear protection and 50-100 rounds of ammunition to the course.
