NEMCC welcomes Doniphan Dance Project back to Booneville
BOONEVILLE, Miss. (10/30/2024) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Cultural Arts Committee is welcoming the return of the Doniphan Dance Project to the college's Booneville campus for a performance as part of its 2024-2025 programming.
Based in Tupelo, the Doniphan Dance Project, which is a non-profit organization that last visited the City of Hospitality during the Spring 2024 semester, will take the stage once again in Hines Hall Auditorium on Monday, November 4, at 6:30 p.m.
Established in 2014, the Doniphan Dance Project has made a significant impact on the lives of Tupelo-area youth, offering youth the opportunity to gain experience and explore modern dance, regardless of their financial background.
Doniphan Dance Project's mission is to foster a deeper understanding of modern dance among young people from diverse backgrounds, and it runs solely on donations and sponsorships, ensuring that no child or family is burdened with the cost of participation.
Following the performance, members of the Doniphan Dance Project will participate in an audience Q&A session, providing insight into their work and the transformative power of dance.
Northeast's hosting of the Doniphan Dance Project is free and open to the public, and the Cultural Arts Committee encourages all to attend and experience the beauty and artistry of modern dance.
