Northeast Chorus and Chamber Choir to Present Annual Spring Concert

by Michael H. Miller

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (04/01/2025) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Chorus and Chamber Choir will present its annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, April 8, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Booneville.

Northeast Chorus and Chamber Choir serve as ambassadors for the college, showcasing the vocal talents of students from various academic disciplines-not just music majors. Throughout the years, these ensembles have traveled across Mississippi, performing in concerts and exhibitions.

This year, Northeast has extended an invitation to the New Albany High School choirs to join the performance.

New Albany's choirs are under the direction of Northeast alumna Lilly Swilley, making the event a homecoming for the director and a celebration of musical talent across generations.

A highlight of the evening will be marked by a special invitation for former Northeast chorus members to join in the final performance of the night, In Meeting, We Are Blessed.

Admission to the Northeast Chamber Choir and Chorus' Spring Concert is free and open to the public.
