Northeast Dental Hygiene program seeking patients
BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- (04/22/2026) — Smiles across campus and the community are getting brighter thanks to Northeast Mississippi Community College's Dental Hygiene program, which is currently seeking "a few good mouths" for upcoming clinical sessions.
Northeast Dental Hygiene students provide no-cost appointments to all college employees and students, while services for members of the public are available for only $15.
Each visit offers much more than a routine cleaning.
Under the guidance of licensed dentists and experienced oral health professionals, students perform a full range of preventive services including x-rays, oral hygiene instruction, nutritional counseling, and oral cancer screenings.
Participants are reminded that appointments are completed by students gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supervised learning environment designed to prepare the next generation of dental hygienists.
Located on the fourth floor of Childers Hall at the Booneville campus, just off Jefferson Street, Northeast's Dental Hygiene Department continues to serve as a cornerstone of accessible oral health education in northeast Mississippi.
Appointments are available at 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and are scheduled on a first-reserved basis.
