Registration open at NEMCC for Fall 2024 semester

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (07/08/2024) — Registration is now open for the Fall 2024 semester at Northeast Mississippi Community College, one of the nation's premier community colleges.

Northeast officials are committed to maintaining a traditional schedule of in-person classes for the upcoming semester.

However, if face-to-face classes do not suit a student's schedule, the college offers flexible options to accommodate various student scheduling needs.

Northeast follows a four-day academic week, with classes scheduled from Monday through Thursday and the college also observes multiple holidays throughout the semester, including Labor Day in September, Fall Break in October, Thanksgiving Break in November, and Winter/Holiday Break in December.

Additionally, Northeast has been recognized as the second-best community college in the nation for online education.

Northeast holds the distinction of being the top school in Mississippi for both four-year and two-year college ranks when it comes to alumni earnings in the first few years after graduation.

Northeast is the only community college to receive the prestigious Apple Distinguished Schools award twice and through its 1:1 iPad initiative, the college focuses on reducing entry barriers, making education more accessible to all students.

For those wanting to get a head start on their enrollment process, the college has made the process simple by following a few steps on the Northeast website at https://www.nemcc.edu/admissions/apply/index.html.

Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. (noon) on Fridays. Northeast is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

For those whose work schedules may prevent them from reaching the college during regular business hours, Northeast will hold extended registration hours on Friday, August 16 until 3 p.m. at all its campuses - Booneville, Corinth, New Albany and Ripley.

In-person, full-term classes begin on Monday, August 19 with the last day of full-term seated classes slated for Thursday, December 5.

Final exams for the Fall 2024 semester start on Monday, December 9.

Northeast's December commencement exercises will be held on Thursday, December 12.
