NEMCC Livestock Judging Team Impresses on International Stage
Northeast Mississippi Community College's livestock judging team displayed its skills at the International Beef Judging Competition held at the Dixie National Rodeo in Jackson earlier in the spring semester. Northeast's livestock judging team, which is composed of all freshmen students, distinguished itself as the sole community college representation from the eastern side of the Mississippi River, by evaluating twelve classes of steers, heifers, and bulls. Through the team's knowledge and research, members provided reasons for their placements in eight of those classes. Among the 37 teams participating at International Beef Judging Competition held at the Dixie National Rodeo in Jackson earlier in the spring semester, Northeast took home an eleventh-place finish.

NEMCC elects 2021-2022 Class Favorites
During recent campus-wide elections, sophomores Connor Bonds of Iuka and Paige Knight of Booneville were selected as Mr. and Miss Northeast Mississippi Community College for the 2021-2022 academic year. In addition to Bonds and Knight's selections as Mr. and Miss Northeast, the student body elected 34 additional individuals - nine freshmen women, nine freshmen men, eight sophomore women and eight sophomore men, as Class Favorites for 2021-2022 at the Booneville-based college

NEMCC elects Ripley's Melton as 2021 Homecoming Queen
Northeast Mississippi Community College's student body recently elected Ripley native Ally Melton to reign as the college's 2021 Homecoming Queen during campus-wide elections in early October. Melton and the entire 2021 Homecoming court will make their first official appearance at a pep rally on the front lawn of the Ramsey Student Services Building on Thursday, October 14 at 12:10 p.m.

NORTHEAST ELECTS KOSSUTH'S SEAGO AS 2020 HOMECOMING QUEEN
Northeast Mississippi Community College's student body has selected Kossuth's Alli Seago to reign as the college's 2020 Homecoming Queen. Seago and the entire 2020 Northeast Homecoming Court will make their first official appearance at a pep rally in their honor on the lawn in front of the Ramsey Student Services Building on Thursday, October 15 at 12:10 p.m.
