After multiple successful June orientations, Northeast has announced open registration for anyone wanting to come to the Booneville-based college for the fall 2022 semester. Northeast offers face-to-face classes for those seeking a return to traditional courses and is ranked as the top online school in the state for not only two-year but four-year institutions of higher learning and the second-best online school in the nation. In-person, full-term classes begin on Monday, August 15, with virtual classes starting up a week later on Monday, August 22. Final exams for the Fall 2022 semester start on Monday, December 5.

Northeast Mississippi Community College officials have announced that the Booneville-based college has purchased the former Corinthian Furniture building and land at 2100 West Chambers Drive in Booneville so that the college can expand its career and technical education offerings. In addition to the massive career-technical educational complex, college officials are also planning a conference center at the site. With the purchase, Northeast expands its footprint in Prentiss County by 43 acres and 350,000 square feet.
