Northeast Mississippi Community College held its annual Parade of Beauties pageant on Tuesday, November 9 in the Claude Wright Room of the Haney Union on the Booneville campus. Freshman Chloe Addison Hollingsworth of Tishomingo (center) bested a field of 43 contestants to take the crown of Most Beautiful for the 2021-22 academic year. Included in the Top 5 of the pageant (from left) were Melly Gardner of Baldwyn, Marykate Nobles of New Albany, Hollingsworth, Lynsie Burns of Booneville and Dakari MacDonald of Sheffield, Alabama. Addison Finch of Saltillo, who has a criminal psychology area of concentration, took home the Most Scholastic title with a 3.92 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and Gardner was crowned Most Photogenic by the judges. In addition to Hollingsworth, MacDonald, Gardner, Nobles and Burns, Katie Gentry of Blue Springs, Channing Hurt of Ripley, Karley Conwill of Baldwyn, Jaycee Drew Janzen of Booneville and Madison Bennett of New Albany were named to the Top 10.

The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Mississippi (“Molina”) partnered with Northeast Mississippi Community College to launch a scholarship program for new students enrolling in various health care workforce programs. MolinaCares invested $25,000 to fund the education and professional advancement of individuals seeking to become certified nurse aides, dental assistants, emergency medical technicians, first responders, commercial truck driving, and part time reserve law enforcement. At the donation included NEMCC Development Foundation Board of Directors president Reid Bostick, NEMCC president Dr. Ricky G.
