NEMCC CONTINUING ED TO OFFER ACT PREP WORKSHOP

Booneville, MS (03/28/2023) — Northeast Mississippi Community College's Office of Continuing Education will offer ACT Prep Workshops in Booneville and New Albany on Saturday, April 1.

Northeast's ACT Prep workshops are designed to help students prepare for the upcoming ACT exams.

Workshops will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and cost $45.

Students are encouraged to bring their calculators to the workshop.

Last day to register for the April 1 workshop is March 30.

However, students who cannot attend the April 1 workshop will have additional opportunities to participate in similar workshops on June 3 and July 8.

During the workshop, students will learn essential skills analysis, test-taking tips, and exam strategies to help them perform their best on the ACT exams.

"We are thrilled to offer these workshops to our students," said Northeast Mississippi Community College's Office of Continuing Education director Phyllis Colson. "We believe these workshops will give students the knowledge and tools to perform their best on the ACT exams. We encourage all students who are planning to take the ACT to sign up for these workshops."

The Chronicle of Higher Education has designated the college as one of its 'Best Places to Work For,' and CollegeChoice.net has named Northeast a Top 25 Community and Junior College in the country while The Center for Digital Education has recognized Northeast as a Top 10 Digital Community College in the nation.

Campus Labs recently named Northeast as one of two educational institutions in the nation as a Campus Labs Trailblazer Award honoree. The Campus Labs Trailblazer Award is based on the college creating a culture of assessment on campus through Campus Labs Planning to increase institutional adoption, focus on continuous improvement, and closing the loop in the institutional assessment priorities.
