Keith Hall, one of the drum majors from the Memphis Blues Brass Band's inaugural season in the early 1980s, played a pivotal role in forming this year's ensemble. With over 100 members aged 15 to 21, the Memphis Blues Drum Corps promises to deliver an unforgettable performance.
On July 13, the Memphis Blues Drum Corps will bring its program to life, "Blue Notes from Spain," with the opener "Red Skies Over Madrid," at the event at Tupelo High School
In addition to the Memphis Blues Drum Corps, the show will feature a lineup of drum corps performances from around the nation, including Heat Wave from Tampa Bay, Florida; Southwind from Mobile, Alabama; the Spartans from Nashua, New Hampshire; the Spirit of Atlanta from Atlanta, Georgia; Music City from Nashville, Tennessee; The Cavaliers from Rosemont, Illinois; and The Cadets from Erie, Pennsylvania.
Gates will open at 6:30 p.m., allowing attendees to soak in the sun before the first performance begins at 7:40 p.m.
Tickets for the Tupelo show can be purchased from http://www.dci.org and are priced at $29-35 for the night. Attendees are encouraged to secure their tickets early to avoid any potential price increases on the day of the event.

With over 250 members, the marching band performs pre-game and halftime shows at all home football games, as well as taking part in recruitment events and various functions throughout the year.
Band members' dedication to the craft extends beyond the marching field, with members actively taking part in other fine arts groups on campus.
