Prentiss County’s donated patrol vehicle joins a lineup that includes highly equipped Ford SUVs, Crown Victorias, and a maintenance truck used for assisting motorists. Each vehicle in the police department’s fleet plays a role in Northeast’s commitment to safety, emergency response, and public service. Chartered on July 1, 2005, the Northeast Mississippi Community College Campus Police Department aims to provide a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, while also upholding college policies, state laws, and federal regulations.

Northeast Mississippi Community College’s award-winning Adult Education department will hold its annual High School Equivalency (HSE) Completion Ceremony on Monday, May 19 at 6 p.m. in the Bonner Arnold Coliseum on the college’s Booneville campus. Over 225 graduates have the opportunity to walk across the stage to receive their diploma -- an achievement many feared would never come, yet through hard work, persistence, and the unwavering support of Northeast’s Adult Education staff, that dream is now a reality. After a one-year hiatus from its traditional location, Northeast Mississippi Community College will return to the Bonner Arnold Coliseum on its Booneville campus to host its seventy-sixth (76th) Annual Commencement Exercises on Thursday, May 15 and Friday, May 16. To accommodate the growing number of graduates and guests, Northeast is expanding from its traditional two-night format to four distinct commencement ceremonies across two days. To ensure optimal seating and viewing of the candidates, attendees are encouraged to arrive early, with the processional set to begin 10-15 minutes prior to each ceremony. For those unable to attend in person, all commencement ceremonies, with the exception of the pinnings, will be streamed live at NEMCCTV.com to ensure that everyone can be part of the celebration.
